Opposite to the Butterfly mouthpiece the ported swales Pelham gives the greatest amount of tongue relief in the Beris Swales Pelham range.

Allowing extra room for the larger tongue of the Continental breeds or cold blooded short necked cob type the Ported Swales is at home when it is used a powerful sensitive horse with the light framed and more experienced rider.

Similar to the Pelham, but used with a second rein and curb chain. Re- commended for „sultry“ and very strong horses. Due to the method of construction please order 1 cm wider.

The Tongue Port Snaffle gives the horse’s tongue enough room because of the flat- tened area on the port. Many horses react to this with more relaxation and chewing. Therefore this bit is perfect for horses that won’t tolerate pressure on the tongue and for those who tend to stick their tongue abo- ve the bit.
